Tendercare is a licensed family day home that is catored to stimulate the emotional and educational needs of children 2 - 5 years of age. Each child is taught how to interact with each other socially while using common etiquette skills that will prepare them for life.Each child is taught that they are unique, kind, smart and an important person!Structured Pre-school environment that allows children to learn at their own pace, be creative and use their imgination. Foster the joy of storybooks by reading, reading, Reading! Reading enhances verbal skills for school readiness.Each child in introduced to basic fundamentals along with math,concepts, science and nature: worms, frogs, bees, mud pies and more....Children are encouraged to think outside the box, i.e. " problem- solving" and "conflict resolution" skills are introduced. Tendercare is a Christian environment. However, regardless of each child's family's religious beliefs, all children are taught to respect each others unique differences.There is no discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex and disability.

Every day

we grow, play and learn.

Never over-crowded, 1: 6 ratio! SMALL- GROUP set up which allows each child to get their individual needs met throughout the day.

Assistance with potty learning and bathroom skills.

Foster a sense of pride and inter-dependence children need to accept themselves and others.

All meals and snacks provided (1% milk and 100% juice served)

Children are encouraged to try a variety of crunchy vegetables and fruits at snack.

Children help cook, set the table and learn to serve themselves.

Table manners (etiquette introduced)

We love Tendercare Family Day Home and Learning Center. We've been part of "the family" for 6 years. Both of our children attended since they were newborns. They loved this school so much, and so did we. We are a dual military family, and Mrs. Shelton would reach out to us to help with our vigorous schedules. We've always felt at home at Tendercare and so did our children. They've grown and learned so much that they are ahead of their classes in the private school they attend now. My daughter is 4 years old and has attended Tendercare since she was 6 weeks old. I am always asked how old my daughter is because she communicates so well with others that they cannot believe she only 4! Michelle

Tendercare is a very warm and caring environment. I believe my child is thriving so well because he is never rushed or hurried to complete a task. He is always encouraged to think for himself and use his imagination! The school environment is very "child-friendly." Toys are kept where children can reach for them without asking for help. My son actually picks up his toys and puts them away-something he does not do at home without me telling him too. Jackie
